Do I have to schedule my employees?

No. Employees can clock in and out without an assigned shift. Use scheduling for work you want to plan ahead, and keep recording unscheduled work in the same workspace.

Does PayShift track people all day?

PayShift records available location information at punch events. It does not continuously track someone’s movements. A recorded location is device-reported evidence at that time, not a guarantee of continuous presence.

What happens if a punch is away from a workplace?

With location alerts enabled, it appears for review. You can check the recorded location and accuracy before deciding whether a correction is needed. Missing or inaccurate GPS should not be treated as proof that someone didn’t work.

Do employees need to download an app?

No. PayShift currently works in a modern browser on a phone, tablet, or computer. Employees can also add the web app to their home screen. A dedicated Android app is in development.

Does PayShift pay my employees?

PayShift records time and exports spreadsheets. You continue using your preferred payroll or payment process. Optional hourly-rate estimates are before taxes, overtime, and other adjustments.

Is it only for a particular kind of business?

No. PayShift is for small organizations that need a clearer record of staff time—from cleaning and service businesses to community programs and office teams.
